Cassandra Calabrese, DO
Her areas of interest include infection in the setting of immunosuppression, infection prevention and immunizations, rheumatic manifestations of infection, human immunodeficiency virus, COVID-19 and immune related adverse events from checkpoint inhibitor therapy. |
Catherine Sims, MDDr. Catherine Sims is a rheumatologist at Duke University and health services research fellow at the Durham Veterans Affairs hospital. Her research initiatives include pregnancy outcomes in systemic vasculitides and exploring reproductive health experiences for Veterans with rheumatic diseases. Through novel research efforts, education of providers, and streamlined communication with patients her hope is to improve the reproductive experience for women with autoimmune diseases. |

Chase Correia, MD
Because our understanding of rheumatic diseases advances rapidly, and the treatment options expand each year as new discoveries are made, Dr. Correia believes that this is an exciting time to be a rheumatologist. He specialized in rheumatology for the opportunity to develop meaningful, long-term relationships with his patients and looks forward to getting to know each of his Riverside patients individually while fulfilling Riverside’s mission to “care for others as we would care for those we love.” With multiple of publications and presentations to his name, Dr. Correia is a prolific researcher, educator and leader in the field of rheumatology. He won grant funding to study advanced diagnostic and treatment solutions for rheumatic diseases, as well as the Excellence in Teaching Award from Northwestern University. He is also an avid community health volunteer and has provided free medical care to patients in homeless shelters, community clinics, and in rural Honduras. He earned his medical degree from the University of Nevada in Reno and completed an internal medicine residency at Loyola University Medical Center in Chicago, where he was also appointed chief resident in 2015. The following year, he began a rheumatology fellowship at Northwestern Memorial Hospital, also in Chicago. At Northwestern, he became a faculty member and co-director of the Northwestern scleroderma program while earning a Master of Science in clinical investigation. Originally from Reno, Nevada, Dr. Correia is married with two children. He enjoys mountain biking, running, hiking, cycling and spending time outdoors with his family. |
Chet Oddis, MD

Cuoghi Edens, MDCuoghi Edens, MD is a rheumatologist board-certified in both rheumatology and pediatric rheumatology. Dr. Edens treats adult and children suffering from a wide array of rheumatic diseases. Due to her combined adult and pediatric rheumatology training, her clinical practice centers around teens and young adults diagnosed with rheumatic diseases and their healthcare transition into adult-centered care. Reproductive health topics and their interplay with rheumatic diseases in patients of all ages is her other clinic concentration, in addition to research focus. She is the co-leader of the CARRA Reproductive Health Work Group. \Aside from her clinical work, Dr. Edens is also the pediatric rheumatology fellowship director at the University of Chicago and involved in medical student and resident education. |
